Al Wathba is the desert edge of Abu Dhabi, camel-track and dune country where the sand never really stops. Cars here carry the heaviest fine-sand load of any community we serve, and we lift it off with encapsulation rather than a dry cloth that would scratch the paint.

Al Wathba lies inland on the southern desert edge of the capital, known for its camel racetrack, the cycle track and the wetland reserve, with villa plots and farms scattered across open sand. It is the most exposed community we cover, and it shows on the cars: a constant, deep layer of fine desert sand that no other area produces in the same quantity.

That sand is the whole challenge. It is powder-fine and it gets everywhere, into panel gaps, around badges, along the window rubbers. The worst thing you can do is wipe it off dry, because dragging that grit across the paint is exactly what puts fine scratches into a clear coat. Our method exists for this: the encapsulating spray surrounds each grain so it lifts away in the microfibre instead of being ground in.

Weekends here mean desert trips, and cars come back caked. We are set up for the post-trip wash: we clear the roof, bonnet and sills of packed sand, treat the wheels and arches where it collects most, and give the glass a proper pass so your next drive is clear. Heavier build-up is quoted before we start so you know the price up front.

Out on the desert edge there is rarely a convenient tap, which is the point of a self-contained crew. We bring everything, use about a litre of water for a standard wash and up to ten with steam for a heavy sand load, and leave the plot dry with no runoff into the sand. A booked weekend slot after the dunes means the packed sand comes off before it works its way into every seam.

## Access and parking

We wash at the villa or farm plot where the car is parked, with space to clear packed sand from every panel. There is rarely a tap out here, which is why we come fully self-contained and never need one.
