Masdar City is Abu Dhabi's sustainability district, and a wash that uses about a litre of water per car is an easy fit with the rules and the ethos here.

Masdar City was built around low resource use, and the people who live and work here take that seriously. A conventional hose wash sends 150 to 200 litres of water down the drain per car, which is a hard sell inside a district designed to minimise exactly that. Our low-water method uses roughly a litre per car, and steam services up to about ten, which makes it the kind of service that clears an internal sustainability review without a fuss.

Practically, the district is a mix of the institute, offices, research tenants and a growing residential community, with cars parked in shaded structures and podium bays. Shade is ideal for us, and the enclosed layout means there is rarely anywhere to run a hose anyway, so a self-contained trolley wash is the natural fit.

The dust picture is standard for this inland corner of Abu Dhabi: fine sand settling overnight, plus road film from the drive in from Khalifa City or the airport road. We lift it with an encapsulating wash so nothing gets ground into the paint, and we keep the glass properly clear for the commute.

## Access and parking

We wash in the district's shaded parking structures and podium bays. Because the layout has few places to run water, our self-contained, low-water method is the practical option here.
